Unakkallari - 2 cups
Milk - 2 ltr
Sugar - 3 cups or as reqd
Cashew nuts - 3 spoon
Raisins(Onakkamunthiri) - 2 spoon
Cardamom(Elakka) - 4 nos
Ghee - 2 spoon


1)In a pressure cooker, boil the rice nicely.

2)Add the milk and sugar and stir well, till it becomes little thick.

3)Switch off the gas.

4)Heat ghee in a pan or a kadai.

5)Fry nuts and raisins and add it into the payasam.

6)Add the powdered cardamom into the payasam and stir well.
